The intention behind this book is to provide Mental Health Support Workers with the foundation knowledge required to work effectively in the field of mental health support by means of an easy read text. The book is divided up to the areas identified by recent research as the key competencies for working in the field of mental health. Learning outcome, questions and reflective exercises accompany each chapter providing the reader with the opportunity to develop practice skills and knowledge as they work through the book.
